George and Cath at Johannesdal 1207 in Stellenbosch. What a lekker celebration this was.
Beautiful setting, glorious light, incredible florals and all the things you expect when a brilliant team comes together at one of the Cape Winelands' most beautiful wedding venues.
But give me the people every single time.
The reactions. The big hugs. The laughter. The friends who are VERY happy to see each other. The family watching everything unfold. The moments happening on the edges while everyone is focused somewhere else. And eventually, a dance floor full of people completely forgetting there is a photographer in the room.
That is the good stuff. ❤️
George and Cath surrounded themselves with their favourite humans and made the day their own. Relaxed when it needed to be, beautiful without feeling too precious and with plenty of energy when it was time to celebrate.
Amy York Events brought everything together, with the brilliant Wildeflower Studio creating the florals and Scape Events looking after the hiring and decor.
Then you add Annalize Catering, Me & Mr Green and Ethan Florus into the mix and you know the guests are going to be very well looked after.
Johannesdal 1207 is becoming a very familiar place for me and I LOVE that every wedding I photograph here still feels completely different.
Same mountains. Same incredible Cape Winelands setting.
Completely different people, personalities, energy and stories.
Exactly as it should be.

As a photographer I have the privilege of documenting some truly remarkable events. Recently, I had the opportunity to capture Shiv & Isabella's dream multiple day Hindu wedding, planned and coordinated by the talented Kraak team. Kraak is known for curating and designing bespoke events on a whole different level. Working Hannes and his team from Kraak was a fantastic experience. Their attention to detail and commitment to creating personalized, unforgettable events made my job as a photographer an absolute joy. Every moment, from the heartfelt rituals to the spontaneous laughter shared among guests, was beautifully orchestrated and a pleasure to capture.
The couple chose to host their events at some of the Winelands' finest venues including: Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden, MolenVliet Vineyards, Waterford Estate, Johannesdal and Plaisir de Merle Wine Estate.
The venues' serene landscapes and elegant architecture provided perfect backdrops for this vibrant celebration. The colors and intricate details of the different wedding events were a feast for the eyes and my camera lens.
Being part of this wedding was a privilege as always and having the honor to capture Shiv & Isabella and their loved brought a lot of joy to my heart.
